An Open House to ALL Veterans and their families was held on October 28, 2007; from 1-5PM, to celebrate our Nations Independence and in SUPPORT OF OUR TROOPS and their families

The Home was featured on the HGTV Network program Offbeat America's Channel 68 Sunday at 6:00 PM, June 25th.

First and Only Hammargren Yard Sale ever on Saturday and Sunday, June 17 and 18 from 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM. We are calling the event Pictures, Posters, Portraits and everything in between. There will be over 1000 items over half of which are $5 bucks or less. Its™ my half century spring cleaning sale. All items will have a dated signature label saying purchased at the Hammargren Home of Nevada History.

The Stratosphere's High Roller Roller Coaster landed atop The Fremont Street Experience: Thursday-June 15th between 1:00PM and 3:00PM, 4300 Ridgecrest Drive (Sandhill & Flamingo)

Well, it's not the real Fremont Street Experience but the Roller Coaster cars are the real McCoy and they will roll to their final stop with the help of a crane donated for the job by Ahern Rentals at the Hammargren Home of Nevada History.

The Roller Coaster that has shared the Las Vegas skyline for many years and has thrilled millions of tourists and locals alike will have its final requiem at the Hammargren Home of Nevada History. The original coaster cars will be hoisted atop the 80 foot replica of the Downtown Las Vegas Fremont Street Experience (FSE) built by in 1992.

The replica was first built as a parade float to promote the vision and construction of the then controversial landmark but now is a permanent part of his eclectic back yard. I was going to set the Roller Coaster Cars next to the numerous spacecraft Bob Stupak gave me years ago from his old Vegas World Hotel and Casino that is now the Stratosphere; but the FSE replica sets high above the back yard, atop the Showboat stage. It just seemed natural to have the roller coaster High, High above the many other remnants of Old Las Vegas I have collected and High above the many party festivities and entertainment.
